Real Novo Sancti Petri (B)

Spain

The three 18-hole courses at real novo sancti petri golf club make up one of spain's largest golf resorts, with the "b" course, which opened in 2001, originally part of a 27-hole complex that opened in 1990. In 2007, the âĢľcâĢĿ course in neighboring campano was extended to an 18-hole course, offering golfers in this section of the costa de la luz plenty of options.

Six par threes, six par fours, and six par fives make up the course, which is largely parkland in nature (with some fairways bordered by pine trees). The b configuration consists of the original centro nine holes 1 to 4, followed by nine new holes before returning to the existing holes 5 to 9, which are now played as 14 to 18.

Water hazards can be seen on the front nine at holes 5 and 8, as well as the back nine at holes 14 and 16. Between these two sets of holes, many believe the par five 11th to have the best sea view on the whole site, as the green can only carry a very accurate approach shot.

The course designer has left his imprint on the final hole by adding a bunker in the form of an "s" for severiano – as if anybody visiting here would forget they were playing a ballesteros course built by spain's most prolific golfer!
