Like its sister course, Mijas Los Olivos golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior.
The course was opened in 1983, and underwent a total renovation in 2001.
Shorter and tighter than its sister course, Los Olivos takes its name from the olive trees which line the fairways.
Many of the undulating greens are elevated, and although reasonably generous, they are well guarded by bunkers.
